The Bursary Fund is at the core of the Jaguar Academy of Sport, financially supporting the next generation of British Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls in partnership with SportsAid.

SportsAid is a registered charity that helps talented, young British sportsmen and women, both able-bodied and those with a disability, to pursue a career in sport. SportsAid administers the Bursary Fund on behalf of the Academy of Sport.

SportsAid has over 30 years experience working with national governing bodies of sport and uses its relationship with them to make sure the very best athletes are chosen to receive support. SportsAid drives the intensive and rigorous selection process, providing a shortlist of athletes that also matches the criteria set by the Academy of Sport.

The final decision is then made by the Academy of Sport's patrons and ambassadors, who are among Britain's most successful sportsmen and women, including Sir Chris Hoy and Mark Foster.

To be eligible for the Jaguar Academy of Sport Bursary Fund, the athlete must first be nominated to SportsAid for financial support by their sport's own national governing body. This ensures SportsAid and the Academy of Sport are supporting the right athletes, at the right time, in the right way.
