Athlete Resume

Rhys has had an outstanding start of the season both nationally and internationally. His triple crown at the U17 National Championships is a testimony to his domination in his age group. He also fared extremely well abroad against older European players.

Rhys started playing Badminton at the age of seven and has now been National age group champion for 4 years running. He has represented England on numerous occasions at U15 and U17 level.

He is now planning to take his game to the next level by competing and training more regularly with Asian players.

  • To become the recognised Men's singles player in GB for his age group (U17) and above (U19)
  • Win the U19 Dutch International, U19 German International and U17 6 Nations
  • Perform well at the 2011 Senior National Championships
  • Win the Yonex All England singles title
  • Play on the Senior international circuit
  • Represent GB at the Olympics
