Athlete Resume
Tom is a full-time student at the University of Exeter, studying Law and French Law, who has been classified by the UCI as a C3 Paracyclist. He has fused bones in his feet and hands, almost-total fusion of his ankles, poor flexibility in all his limbs and faces problems with a rare genetic condition known as lipodystrophy. He has ridden for the GB Para-Cycling Talent Team and GB Deaf Cycling on the international elite stage.
He raced in his first event for GB at the UCI Paracycling World Cup Series race in Bilbao last year and also entered the RTTC Rudy Project TT Series and National Disability Circuit Race Series. This season he has moved from Rapha Condor CC to Cyclefit RT as he looks to hit the qualifying times for the 2012 Paralympic Games and compete at the World Championships in September.
