How did you first get involved in your sport?
I asked my mum to go and start playing football, when I was about 4-5. I used to go to unisex training sessions and play on the astro turf. I always enjoyed playing football and played ever since.
What does a typical week look like for you?
Monday to Friday - school. Monday & Wednesday evenings - 2 hour football sessions (Chelsea), Wednesday lunch times - basketball practice. Monday after school - basketball practice. Saturday mornings - football match (Chelsea).
What do you enjoy the most about being a sportsperson?
I really enjoy the adrenalin rush I get when playing a match against a team at the same level as my team. I also enjoy the the interaction between different people and learning new things from them. I love that I challenge myself and can set targets to try and achieve them. I also enjoy learning new techniques and tactics as I know it makes me a better player. The best thing about being a sportsperson is playing the sports I love.
What are your targets for the next 12 months?
To be selected for England Elite Performance Camps. To be selected for Chelsea U17's.
What are your long term aims?
To be selected for England U17's.
Which competition would you most like to win?
Women's World Cup - represents the height of footballing achievement.
Who is your sporting hero?
Mia Hamm; she has reached the top of her game due to her hard work and determination to succeed and achieve her full potential. She has represented her country (USA) and scored many goals. I believe that I have learnt a lot from her and hope to achieve the same success.
What do you do in your free time?
Play basketball for my school (4th in the country), watch football on TV, go to football matches (occasionally). Practice skills and shooting in the garden, go to theatre (occasionally) and socialise with friends.
