Matthew is a special talent who has featured in the Welsh U16, U18 and now U20 teams as he looks to make the step up to professional rugby. The 6 foot 5 inch second row forward is a member of the Cardiff Blues senior setup and Pontypridd RFC. He helped Wales to a third place finish in last years U20 Six Nations and is looking to gain selection for the Junior U20 World Cup in Italy in June. In this years Six Nations tournament he played in all five of the U20 fixtures, helping Wales to 4th place.
This season he has made cameo appearances from the bench for Cardiff in the Magners League and Anglo Welsh Cup.
